Qualifications, skills, and all relevant experience needed for this role can be found in the full description below.Refugees and asylum seekersLeeds & BradfordSalary: £14.13 per hour, 37 hours per weekHours : Full-time – Includes weekend on-call rota (additional payment + TOIL)This Housing charity is seeking a compassionate and practical Housing Project Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting refugees and asylum seekers who are at risk of homelessness.This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals, promoting independence, and helping people move forward into stable housing and life in the community.About the RoleAs a Resident Project Support Worker , you will work closely with colleagues to provide practical and emotional support to residents living in supported accommodation.You will support individuals who may have recently received refugee status or are navigating ongoing immigration processes, helping them access housing, benefits, community services and opportunities that promote independence and wellbeing.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting residents living in supported accommodation with their day-to-day wellbeing and independenceCompleting support plans, risk assessments and regular support reviewsProviding casework support and maintaining accurate case notesAssisting residents with benefit claims, including Housing BenefitSupporting residents with move-on options , including social housing and private rented accommodationAssisting residents with bidding for properties and housing applicationsSupporting residents to access health, wellbeing, education and community servicesWorking with referral agencies and partner organisationsSupporting the delivery of weekly drop-in sessionsOrganising and supporting house meetings and resident engagement activitiesHelping residents with integration support , including community activities and volunteeringMaintaining accurate records relating to support sessions, payments and resident outcomesAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is:Compassionate, patient and committed to supporting xwzovoh vulnerable individualsConfident in building professional relationships and maintaining boundariesAble to manage sensitive situations and difficult conversationsOrganised with strong record-keeping and case management skillsAble to work independently as well as part of a small teamPassionate about supporting people to move forward into independenceExperience in the following would be highly beneficial:Supporting refugees, asylum seekers or vulnerable adultsKnowledge of the UK welfare benefits system and Housing BenefitExperience supporting individuals with housing applications and move-on planningDelivering support planning or casework support#LEEJP…
