AbouttheRole
WearelookingforanexperiencedElectricianwithstrongknowledgeofheatingcontrolstojoinourspecialistteam.Thisroleiscentraltosupportingourboiler,airconditioning,heatpump,andsolarengineers.Youwillberesponsibleforelectricalinstallations,fault-finding,andsystemintegrations,ensuringhigh-qualityservicedeliveryacrossbothtraditionalheatingsystemsandrenewabletechnologies.
KeyResponsibilities
Carryoutelectricalinstallations,testing,andmaintenancerelatedtoheatingandrenewableenergysystems.
Workcloselywithboiler,AC,heatpump,andsolarengineerstoprovideelectricalsupport.
Installandconfigureheatingcontrols,including:
Spurs,thermostats,S-plan,Y-plan,andfullsystemwiring.
Assistwithelectricalsuppliesandconnectionsfor:
Electricboilers(liaisingwithsuppliersandensuringcorrectinstalls).
Airconditioningunits.
Heatpumps.
SolarPVsystems(desirablebutnotessential).
Diagnoseandresolveelectricalandcontrolfaultsquicklyandeffectively.
EnsureallworkcomplieswithBS7671(18thEditionWiringRegulations)andrelevantsafetystandards.
Maintainaccuratejobdocumentationandcommunicateclearlywiththewiderteam.
Skills&Qualifications
- NVQLevel3inElectricalInstallationorequivalent.
- 18thEditionWiringRegulationscertification.
- ECS/JIBcard(preferred).
- Experienceandfullcompetenceinheatingcontrols(essential).
- Familiaritywithspurs,thermostats,S-plan,Y-plan,andfullsystemwiring(essential).
- Inspection&Testingqualification(2391orequivalent)desirable.
- Knowledgeofelectricalsuppliesforboilers,AC,heatpumps,andsolarPVsystems.
- Provenexperienceworkingindomesticand/orcommercialenvironments.
- FullUKdrivinglicence.
