Overview:We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to support a busy rail operations team. This is a varied role requiring strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. While the position is primarily based at a South London depot, occasional travel to other London sites will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to the wider team
- Minute taking during meetings and distributing accurate records
- Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
- Booking meeting rooms, travel, and accommodation (including hotels)
- Assisting with basic payroll administration (desirable but not essential)
- Liaising with internal team members, external contractors, and stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Supporting day-to-day operational administrative tasks as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to various London sites when required
Desirable:
- Basic payroll experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced or operational environment
