Data Cabling Engineer Birmingham – Onsite £25,000 – £35,000

VIQU have partnered with an organisation seeking a Data Cabling Engineer to support telecoms installations across hospital sites in Birmingham. This Data Cabling Engineer role offers a mix of BAU and project work, ideal for a hands-on individual looking to grow within a stable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Terminate data outlets and patch panels to a high industry standard
• Test structured cabling systems using a Fluke DTX 5000 tester
• Accurately document installation activities and test results
• Install and configure wireless access points across hospital sites
• Support fibre cabling projects and gain exposure to additional technologies
• Work collaboratively on-site (no lone working)
• Adhere to CSCS/ESC regulations and strict health & safety standards

Key Requirements

• Valid CSCS or ESC card (essential)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in data cabling or telecoms
• Proven experience in terminating, installing, and testing structured cabling systems
• Eligible for DBS clearance (processed by employer)
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Birmingham sites
• Based in or able to commute to Birmingham
• Reliable, proactive, and trustworthy approach to work
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment
