The Role
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering complete mechanical design solutions across a range of bespoke equipment.
You will work closely with manufacturing, assembly and wider engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient and delivered right first time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing full mechanical designs from concept through to final release
- Creating detailed drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks
- Producing accurate Bills of Materials for procurement and production
- Supporting new product development and continuous improvement projects
- Liaising with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are fit for purpose
- Maintaining accurate design documentation and drawing records
- Supporting machine build, assembly and testing where required

Skills & Experience
We are keen to speak with Design Engineers who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience in mechanical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong 3D CAD experience, ideally using SolidWorks
- Experience producing detailed drawings and Bills of Materials
- A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- The ability to manage your own projects and deliver to deadlines
Desirable:
- Knowledge of hydraulic or pneumatic systems
- Experience designing machinery or complex equipment
Salary & Benefits
- Salary up to 46,000 depending on experience
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Location & Working Pattern
- Based in the Scarborough area
- Fully on-site role, with potential flexibility in the future
- 39 hours per week – With half day on Fridays
