Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key interface between EDAG and the customer(s) for interior commodities (including closures, exterior trim, glazing and interfaces) with the ability to professionally interact with customers on-site and off-site
  • Support meetings, e.g. steering committees, project reviews, start-up meetings, etc.
  • Direct and liaise with local and EDAG Group technical design / engineering resource to achieve project goals.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation
  • Maintain customer’s part release system
  • Collaborate with interior systems suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
  • Controlling data maturity and status including recording and tracking issues.
  • Tracking of interior targets including function, timing, performance, cost weight and quality.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews for the resolution of technical issues.
  • Support prototype, pre- and production vehicle builds.
  • Provide the interface for all functions of programme team.
  • Demonstrate EDAG’s excellent reputation while working directly and seamlessly with customers on their projects.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree 2:1 or above
  • +5 years experience of automotive programmes preferably in Body Exterior systems
  • Ability to overcome cultural barriers
  • Demonstrate strong customer, team & supplier management skills
  • An ability to work effectively and calmly under pressure and to manage time effectively under tight and rigid deadlines
  • Ability to identify key project attributes targets related to the role and support through the appropriate level of vehicle/system analysis
  • Relevant experience in Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle packaging, Concept creation, assembly processes of various exterior parts.
  • Ability to perform interior packaging study of the components
  • Demonstrate FMEA and root cause analysis experience
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, ideally Green Belt qualified
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Very good proficiency in CATIA V5/V6
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, Visio
