Building and Fabric Engineer

As a Building and Fabric Engineer you will be joining a part of a larger team of multi skilled engineers working on a well know, modernised site in Newbury. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, joinery, plastering, decorating, small installation projects, servicing and repairs., You will be required to undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work on the following tasks as a building and fabric engineer:

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Service and repair of basic electrical systems.
• Reactive repairs to all types of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Complete relevant decorating and painting works.
• Service and repair of fire alarm systems.
• Service and repair to the general fabric of the building e.g., minor joinery, plumbing and exterior works.
• The above list is not exhaustive but is indicative of the main items of plant and equipment to be maintained.
• NVQ (or equivalent) in either electrics, plumbing, carpentry or joinery is desirable.
• Experience working in the commercial building services sector.
• As a Building and Fabric Engineer you will be working in a client facing role and around the public day to day.
• A knowledge of health and safety will be an advantage.
