Graduate Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing)
Are you an aspiring mechanical engineering graduate looking to kickstart your career within the manufacturing industry, with a niche market leader, who will provide state‑of‑the‑art training on bespoke software, enabling you to become a fully‑fledged mechanical engineer?
In this role you will use bespoke software to produce concept design sketches and calculations for large metallic expansion joints and oversee the project from start to finish. The role will involve cost estimating, liaising with customers on designs and queries, and following up on designs to ensure their completion.
This company has been operating for over 100 years and is globally known for its production of expansion joints that regulate thermal expansion, vibration, and movement. It has over 100 employees and supplies to vital industries such as nuclear and petrochemical sites.
The Role
- Produce concept design sketches and calculations for metallic expansion joints
- Liaise closely with customers on design specifications and queries
- Provide technical support throughout the manufacturing process
- Cost estimate projects
- Mon‑Thur 8:30 am‑4:45 pm, Fri 8:30 am‑4 pm – 38 hours per week
