As a Controls Engineer, you will be joining a part of a larger team of multi skilled engineers working on well known, premium historic commercial site in Wetherby. Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, controls systems, mechanical systems, small installation projects, servicing, and repairs. You will also be helping the larger team with general building maintenance when required. Working as part of the operations team, reporting operationally to the M&E Manager, you will be expected to take a proactive role in the maintenance of the building electrical assets at the site, through planned maintenance, compliance and reactive requests. You will provide support to the M&E Manager in maintaining and fault finding of the above assets. You should gain an understanding of the services within the buildings and be able to use this knowledge to assist in system and plant fault identification and rectification. What you’ll need for this role:
- Level 3 or equivalent in electrical installation
- 18th edition
- As a Controls Engineer, you will be working in a client facing role and around the public day to day. A knowledge of health and safety will be an advantage.
Duties you will be carrying out in this role: You will be required to undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work on the following tasks as a commercial gas engineer:
- Maintenance to control units
- Service and repair of electrical systems
- Reactive repairs
- Service and repair of automated machinery
- Service and repair to the general fabric of the building e.g., minor joinery, plumbing and exterior works
