About the Continuous Improvement Engineer Role

Key Responsibilities of Continuous Improvement Engineer
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean methodologies such as Kaizen, SMED, Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping
- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes to achieve best‑in‑class quality and efficiency
- Drive defect prevention through robust process controls and error‑proofing solutions
- Support New Product Development activities from concept through to launch
- Specify and validate equipment, tooling and fixtures to meet production requirements
- Lead cost‑reduction initiatives through process optimisation and value engineering
- Prepare and justify capital expenditure requests, including cost analysis and ROI
- Support capital projects and contribute to CapEx planning and execution
Candidate Profile
- HND or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial preferred)
- Experience in high‑volume manufacturing, ideally automotive or similar
- Practical experience with Lean tools and structured problem‑solving methodologies
- Knowledge of automated assembly systems, tooling and test equipment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is advantageous
- Experience with CapEx projects or capital investment planning is beneficial

Salary and Benefits
- Up to £55,000
- Annual bonus (non‑contractual and reviewed annually)
