Account Management & Business Development Executive

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and commercially driven individual to join a growing training provider, delivering high-quality apprenticeships, higher education programmes, and workforce development solutions to a broad range of employers.

This role is central to driving business growth through employer engagement, account management, and consultative sales across a diverse portfolio of training services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality, consultative sales experience to both prospective and existing clients
  • Achieve individual sales targets across a range of training and development products
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations using a variety of methods
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to meet and exceed targets
  • Manage relationships with employer clients, ensuring consistent and effective communication
  • Record all customer interactions accurately within a CRM system
  • Conduct meetings (virtual and face-to-face) with prospective and existing clients
  • Prepare tailored proposals to meet client needs
  • Gather and share market intelligence to support wider business strategy
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Support and attend events, open days, and networking opportunities to promote services
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of promotional events and activities
  • Contribute to team meetings and internal communications as required
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, including health & safety and quality standards
  • Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the role

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a sales, business development, or account management role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
  • Experience delivering presentations and engaging with business clients
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and work towards targets
  • Organised with strong administrative and CRM management skills
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a regional territory

Additional Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to own vehicle
  • Willingness to travel across a defined regional area
