Job Description:

HURST is a leading firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, providing a full range of audit, tax, corporate finance and advisory services.

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Business Development Executive to support our growth ambitions. This role will focus on strengthening pipeline management, improving CRM discipline and coordinating targeted outreach activity.

This is a key position in ensuring our business development efforts are well managed, data-driven and consistently followed through.

Key Responsibilities

CRM & Data Management (HubSpot)

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of HubSpot, ensuring all data is up to date and reliable
  • Add new contacts, companies and relevant intelligence to the system
  • Enrich existing records with meaningful insights to support relationship building
  • Promote best practice use of HubSpot across the firm

Pipeline & Activity Tracking

  • Track business development activity across teams, ensuring visibility of progress
  • Monitor next steps, follow-ups and key actions to maintain momentum in opportunities
  • Support reporting on pipeline activity and business development performance

Campaign Coordination

  • Coordinate targeted and topical outreach campaigns aligned to firm priorities
  • Work with partners and service lines to identify campaign themes and target audiences
  • Ensure campaigns are executed effectively and followed up appropriately

Events & Engagement

  • Manage event invitations, attendance tracking and communications
  • Coordinate follow-up activity post-events to maximise ROI
  • Support the planning and delivery of business development events and initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a business development, marketing or CRM-focused role (professional services experience desirable)
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (HubSpot preferred, but not essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
