Multi-Skilled Mechanical Bias Engineer Newcastle Salary: 34,500 + Overtime Opportunities

Our client s is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Mechanical Bias Engineer to join our team on a fantastic university-based site in Newcastle.

The Role As a key member of the on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical systems, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence at all times.

Key Responsibilities – Maintain domestic water systems in line with L8 compliance standards – Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on heating and air conditioning plant – Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to ensure minimal downtime – Support maintenance across wider site plant and systems as required – Maintain accurate records using “Frontline” task sheets – Prepare and follow method statements and risk assessments – Ensure a safe working environment and full compliance with H&S policies – Build strong working relationships with colleagues and client stakeholders – Deliver a professional and high standard of customer service

About You We’re looking for a mechanically biased engineer/plumber with a multi-skilled background who can confidently work across a variety of systems, including commercial plant environments.

Skills & Experience – NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing – Experience working within a commercial plantroom environment – Experience maintaining pumps, motors, and valves – Knowledge of cooling towers – Strong domestic and commercial plumbing experience – Good understanding of health & safety compliance – Basic IT skills

Working Hours – Monday to Friday – 3 weeks: 07:30 – 15:30 – 1 week: 09:30 – 18:00 – Optional on-call rota – Overtime available (including weekends for PPM work)
