This is a dynamic, site-based position offering both variety and responsibility—depending on project scale and client requirements, you may work across multiple sites or be dedicated to a major project.Working alongside the wider Project Management team, you will take ownership of on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections to identify, manage, and eliminate potential health and safety risksSupervise, coordinate, and manage subcontractors, ensuring high standards of performance and complianceDeliver toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture across all site activitiesCarry out daily inspections of access plant and equipmentMaintain accurate site records, including site diaries, attendance logs, and daily activity reportsEnsure all design changes, variations, and drawing updates are properly recorded and tracked for full traceabilityReview and analyse technical drawings to ensure alignment with design, safety, and budget requirementsMonitor subcontractor performance and address issues proactively, including implementing corrective actions where requiredRecommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and project deliverySupport the planning and management of project schedules and budgets to meet delivery targetsInstall, configure, test, and support the commissioning of Fire, Life Safety, and Security systemsTroubleshoot systems and carry out cable testing to ensure readiness for commissioningDemonstrate a strong understanding of system integration and interconnectivity across multiple platformsProvide training and support to end users on completed systemsMentor and support junior or less experienced team members on-siteCollaborate with engineering and project teams to provide technical input, design reviews, and support project scopingContribute to product development initiatives, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement strategiesEnsure all work is delivered in line with company standards and client expectationsAssist in project handover to service/maintenance teams upon completionReport regularly to the Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer on progress, risks, and performanceActively engage in ongoing training and development aligned with the company training matrix About YouYou are a motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong site experience and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions. You thrive in a hands-on environment and are confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining high safety and performance standards.Skills & Experience Previous experience in a similar role, or strong systems experience with the ambition to step into a Project Engineer positionSound knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and construction site practicesStrong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsProven leadership skills with experience supervising teams and subcontractorsExperience working with Fire and Life Safety and/or Security systemsGood understanding of system integration and communication protocols across multiple manufacturersStrong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAnalytical mindset with excellent attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced project environmentFirst Aid qualification (desirable, but not essential—training will be provided) Our market-leading offering provides you with benefits that suit your lifestyle.
