Vacancy Information We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Amesbury Logistics team at Greggs! As a Warehouse Manager, you’ll oversee a high volume 24/7 warehouse operation responsible for distributing chilled, frozen and ambient goods to our shops. You’ll lead a large multi-disciplinary team across multiple temperature-controlled environments, managing day to day operations with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency and colleague engagement. Click here to read about Colleague Networks – internal groups where colleagues and their allies can share their own experiences, offer feedback on the way we do things at Greggs, and provide support to one another About the role This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be consideredWe know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their roleThe base location for this role isAmesbury, SP4 7SZ What you’ll do Taking responsibility for the implementation of the business plan for the future growth of the Distribution Centre.Overseeing the recruitment and development of the warehouse team to be able to deliver to our shopsEnsuring goods are available to be despatched to the shops at the time required to meet service levelsLeading and acting as Champion for warehouse management systemsCreating and implementing rota patterns for 24-7 cover whilst maintaining service and budgetary controlReviewing internal customer interface and systems to identify actions to improve customer satisfactionDeveloping and maintaining set Key Performance Indicators and ensuring these are fully utilised to drive improvementLeading the Logistics site team meetings to identify areas to improve cost and customer service KPI performanceManaging the despatch process to ensure continuous improvement.Managing Manual Handling Equipment fleet and compliance.Ensuring that Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations and standards are adhered toEnsuring that Team training is carried out within company policy and legal complianceLeading the team with high visibility through regular meetings and coaching, promoting a culture of achievement and responsibility in line with the values,Carrying out PDR’s with direct reports, agreeing targets and objectives, conducting monthly 1 to 1’s and agreeing individual development plans to forge strong communication links within the department.Assisting the Logistics Manager in identifying and developing proactive warehouse approaches About you You will fit right into this role if you:Have significant experience in fast moving logistics environment, previous fast moving consumer goods distribution experience would be ideal.Have strong financial acumen and proven track record for managing large operational budgets.Are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels both internally and externally.Can demonstrate a proven ability to provide excellence in customer serviceHave proven high levels of accuracy and attention to detailHave experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at paceAre results focused with strong planning, prioritising and organisation skillsCan multi-task and work with multiple priorities at pace, delivering results within tight timescalesHave advanced IT skills including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and TeamsAre self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and using own initiativeEnjoy being part of a hard-working team, sharing the same end goal, and celebrating results togetherAre supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is goodWant to develop and are ready to work alongside some great people and have lots of fun on your Greggs journey!
