Job Title: Commercial Floor Layer Location: Solihull (with travel across the West Midlands) Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 15:30 About the Role We are seeking experienced and reliable Commercial Floor Layers to join a growing team. Based in Solihull, this role involves travelling across the West Midlands to work on a variety of commercial projects including schools, hospitals, and residential homes. Key Responsibilities Install cap and cove flooring to hygienic standardsPrepare floors: uplift existing materials and dispose safelyAssess and prep subfloors; apply DPMs, primers, and levelling compoundsMeasure and set out for efficient, accurate installationsFit LVT, sheet vinyl, and safety flooringUse correct adhesives and tools per specificationsCarry out repairs and patching as neededWork from drawings/specs to required standardsMaintain high-quality finish and attention to detailFollow all H&S procedures and use PPEWork professionally in schools, hospitals, and residential sitesKeep work areas clean and organisedLiaise with site teams to ensure smooth deliveryComplete work safely, on time, and to a high standard Essential Requirements Valid Blue CSCS Card (Flooring)Enhanced DBS check (due to working in schools and hospitals)Full UK driving licence and willingness to travelMinimum age of 25 (insurance purposes) Desirable Asbestos Awareness CertificateManual Handling Certificate What We Offer Competitive salary (£38k–£42k depending on experience)Consistent working hoursOpportunity to work on varied and rewarding projectsSupportive and professional working environment If you are a skilled floor layer looking for a stable, long-term role with a reputable company, we would love to hear from you….
