Your impact

Ultimately, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing the performance of third‑party transport resources on behalf of NiM (Nestlé in Market). You will focus mainly on Radial contracts and work closely with partners to ensure products are delivered on time. An essential part of this role is regular contact with suppliers across the UK, requiring a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel at least once a month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing third‑party transport resources that meet cost, service, quality and volume requirements (Radial, Backhaul and Parcel).
  • Establishing a regular review timetable with all hauliers to monitor performance and develop them to meet future requirements.
  • Defining future rating strategies for haulage to realise Nestlé’s scale opportunities.
  • Working with Procurement and Vehicle Scheduling to identify opportunities from supplier collections and manage the relationships between parties.
  • Keeping up to date with road transport legislation and developments to ensure compliance with Nestlé’s standards.

Your ingredients for success

To be successful you will already have a background in sourcing transport and providing transport solutions. Ideally you will also have knowledge of road transport legislation and an understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain.

Other criteria

  • Experience working in a fast‑moving, high‑pressure logistics or transport environment.
  • Evidence of negotiating transport rates and managing relevant KPIs.
  • Proven track record in leading and influencing third‑party suppliers.
  • Intermediate‑level competence in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous improvement and examples of projects that brought change in a logistics environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
