Operations Manager – Medical Device Manufacturing
I am currently partnering with a growing medical device business to appoint an Operations Manager to lead operations across two sites. This is a high-impact role with full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business and a clear opportunity to influence its ongoing growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations across two sites.
- Manage production, supply chain, stock control and budgets.
- Lead, coach, and develop cross‑functional teams.
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with medical quality standards (QMS) and regulatory requirements.
- Support production planning to meet delivery timelines and customer demand.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee health & safety standards across the organisation.
- Contribute to strategic decision‑making alongside senior leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
- Engineering background preferred (ideally hands‑on/shop floor experience).
- Strong experience across supply chain, production and process optimisation.
- Experience working with ERP systems, QMS, audits and compliance.
- Solid understanding of health & safety and site management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.
- Confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders across all levels.
