We have a fantastic opportunity available working for a large facilities maintenance and building services company that have been running for 35 years. We are looking for a maintenance engineer who has experience within Plumbing or HVAC to work across Schools, Hospitals and Offices. Our client currently look after around 15-20 schools in the Dagenham Area. The role is for a Mobile Maintenance Engineer who will be equipped with a company van (with personal use e.g weekends!). This role also comes with paid travel time and offers approximately 10 hours per week in overtime. This role does also involve with the occasional working away (once a month) in other parts of the country such as Birmingham. We are looking for the perfect engineer who is hungry to join one of the UK’s largest Facilities Maintenance companies. The successful candidate(s) will have a strong commercial background and hold either a plumbing or mechanical maintenance qualification. They will be expected to integrate into the team of engineers and have a flexible attitude towards work, as well as supporting the wider business.
Responsibilities
- Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service
- Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines as required
- Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running to optimum performance
- Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met
- Carry out modifications and installations when required
- Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard
- Liaise with client/management
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3
- Previous maintenance experience in a commercial environment and be flexible towards work & carry out duties that may not be specific to your trade
- Very well presented
- Client facing experience (desirable)
- Gas qualifications aren’t essential but advantageous
Financials & Benefits
- £38,000 – £40,000 per year
