We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a luxury rail interior refurbishment programme.
This contract role sits within a design-led project transforming existing rail carriages into a premium passenger experience. The position will focus on coordinating design deliverables within a wider client‑led programme, ensuring alignment with programme milestones, engineering constraints, and commercial objectives.
The successful candidate will act as the key point of coordination between design teams, programme leadership, and a national rail operator responsible for refurbishment works, including structural modifications, first‑fix services, and installation interfaces.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinating design activities from concept through to detailed delivery
- Managing interfaces between design, engineering, and refurbishment teams
- Tracking programme milestones and proactively managing delivery risks
- Monitoring project scope, commercial parameters, and potential variations
- Supporting stakeholder communication and project reporting
Qualifications and Experience
- Project management experience within design, architecture, transport interiors, or similar sectors
- Experience delivering refurbishment or retrofit projects in constrained environments
- Strong understanding of design processes and multidisciplinary coordination
- Confidence managing technical and commercial interfaces across multiple stakeholders
- Experience in rail, aviation, or complex transport interiors would be highly advantageous.
This is a contract opportunity, with remote or hybrid working and travel as required.
