Sales Controller – Grocery | UK (Hybrid – London)

We’re working with an ambitious and fast-growing FMCG business looking to appoint a Sales Controller to lead key national grocery accounts and drive commercial performance across the UK.

This is a high-impact role with full ownership of major retail customers, ideal for an experienced Senior National Account Manager ready to step up or an existing Sales Controller seeking a broader challenge.

The Role

You’ll take the lead on key grocery multiple accounts, owning the customer relationship end-to-end and delivering best-in‑class joint business plans. With full P&L responsibility, you’ll drive growth across volume, value, and market share while shaping the commercial strategy alongside senior leadership.

  • Lead and manage key UK grocery multiple accounts
  • Own and develop strong relationships with Category Buyers and cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Deliver and negotiate joint business plans to drive sustainable growth
  • Full P&L responsibility including forecasting, pricing, and budgeting
  • Identify and unlock new business opportunities (NPD, new listings, SKU expansion)
  • Drive distribution, volume, and profitability across accounts
  • Lead promotional planning and shopper marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, category, and operations teams
  • Take ownership of key projects including NPD delivery

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience managing UK grocery retail accounts within FMCG
  • Strong commercial acumen with full P&L ownership experience
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Track record of delivering joint business plans and growth
  • Highly analytical with strong forecasting capability
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
  • High level of ownership and autonomy
