Engineering Manager, Financial Crime Platform (FinTech)

They’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for a core Financial Crime / AML platform — a critical area that underpins compliance, risk management, and transaction safety.

This platform handles millions of events and screening requests, requiring high reliability, low latency, and strong auditability.

What They’re Looking For

Required

• Experience as an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Manager
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices
• Recent experience as a hands-on Tech Lead or Senior Engineer
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• A pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated environments (FinTech, banking, payments)
• Understanding of AML / Financial Crime systems
• Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g. xwzovoh Kafka)
• Exposure to third-party risk or screening systems
• Experience managing on-call for critical systems
