A local authority located in Hackney is looking to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist to join an integrated community health and adult social care service.This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist with strong experience in major adaptations, specialist equipment, and complex assessments, who is confident working autonomously while contributing to a supportive MDT environment.
Main Duties:Undertake holistic, person-centred Occupational Therapy assessments for adults with a range of health conditionsAssess for and make recommendations for major adaptations and complex equipment, including preparing sketches, reading plans, and producing detailed specificationsComplete manual handling assessments and provide safe moving and handling solutionsManage and progress complex cases, including planning, prioritising, and reviewing interventionsRecommend and review simple and complex equipment, ensuring effectiveness and safe useWork collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, including participation in duty workUndertake support planning and reviews for service users and carersEnsure practice aligns with relevant legislation, policies, and safe working guidelinesRequirements:Professional Occupational Therapy qualification recognised by the HCPCHCPC RegistrationExcellent knowledge and experience in specialist equipment, major adaptations, and manual handlingExperience undertaking complex, holistic OT assessments in adult social careUnderstanding of the legal social care framework and housing legislationAbility to work autonomously and effectively manage, prioritise, and progress a complex caseloadExperience working within a multi-disciplinary settingEligibility to work in the UKEnhanced DBS/CRB (assistance available)Why Work With Our Agency?
