The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a growing and forward-thinking manufacturing business that has recently undergone significant investment in both facilities and equipment.
With expansion into a brand-new site, the company is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking for a proactive engineer to play a key role in maintaining and improving cutting-edge production machinery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, combining maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be a vital part of the engineering team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the site. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability
- Responding to breakdowns and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
- Diagnosing faults and implementing effective repair solutions
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency
- Assisting with site facilities maintenance to maintain a safe working environment
- Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams on projects
About You
We are looking for a hands-on engineer with a strong mechanical bias and basic electrical capability.
Key requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical knowledge (e.g. sensors, motors, cables, single & three-phase systems)
- Proven ability in fault finding and diagnostics
- Experience using maintenance systems
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset
- Strong awareness of health & safety standards
(17th/18th Edition is advantageous but not essential)
