Our client is a freight forwarding specialist who offers freight solutions by road, rail, sea and air through their many offices worldwide as well as through their solid network of agents and partners.
We are now looking for a Freight Customs Coordinator to join the team based at their Manchester office in Trafford Park.
Main responsibilities includeProviding an outstanding level of customer service to both internal & external clientsCompleting both import and export declarations and other customs documentation using Descartes softwareHandling multi modal freightEnsure the accurate and timely processing of import and export customs declarationsEnsure correct payment of duty & VATManage post clearance action
Experience Ideally my client would like applying candidates to have 1-2 years experience in customs who they could further trainExperience from working for a freight forwarder in an customs freight roleExcellent communication skillsStrong attention to detailExceptional IT skillsAbility to work as part of a team or as an individualStrong organisational & time management skills
