Financial Analyst (18-Month Fixed Term Contract)

CP Holdings are looking for a Financial Analyst to join their Group Finance team on an 18-month fixed-term contract, playing a key role in an exciting finance transformation programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to a major system implementation while developing strong technical and commercial finance skills.
The opportunity
You’ll be part of Project Darwin, supporting the rollout of OneStream, a leading consolidation and financial planning tool used across the group. Working closely with finance stakeholders, project teams, and implementation partners, you’ll gain real-world experience that goes far beyond a traditional analyst role.
This role is ideal for someone studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA) or with a finance-related degree who wants to build a strong foundation in group finance and systems.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the delivery of a group-wide OneStream implementation
- Assisting with system build activities, workshops, and documentation
- Preparing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including reconciliations and issue logging
- Performing detailed data checks between legacy systems and OneStream
- Supporting finance users during testing and early adoption
- Helping maintain system master data, hierarchies, and mappings
- Responding to day-to-day system queries and supporting training sessions
- Contributing to ad-hoc finance analysis and reporting tasks
What CP Holdings are looking for
Essential:
- Studying towards a professional accounting qualification or holding a finance/accounting degree
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach
- A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to learn
Desirable:
- Exposure to financial systems, consolidation tools, or reporting platforms
- Experience in a finance, accounting, or analytical role (including internships or placements)
- Awareness of month-end processes or finance transformation projects
