Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts & Business Advisory Manager to join our clients fantastic team in Glasgow. This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio, lead and develop a team and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
The Role
As a Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients while overseeing the delivery of work across your team. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining high service standards, driving profitability, and building strong, long‑term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and take full ownership of a client portfolio, acting as the primary point of contact
- Oversee and support delivery across team portfolios, ensuring quality and efficiency
- Plan and manage workflow across the team, ensuring deadlines and utilisation targets are met
- Deliver high‑quality accounting and advisory services, with support from senior leadership on complex technical matters
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing proactive advice and support
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, escalating where appropriate
- Lead, coach, and mentor junior team members, supporting their development
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a wider team
- Ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality outputs and client service
About You
- ACA / ACCA / CA qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing a client portfolio within practice
- Strong background working with clients across a range of industries
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership, coaching, and mentoring
- Commercially aware with the ability to identify growth opportunities
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
