Overview
Global Procurement is responsible for managing the firm’s procurement and supply chain activities across all major spend categories within a leading global law firm. The department’s core mission is to maximize value from over $500 million of third‑party spend, manage supply chain risks, and ensure the supply chain supports the firm’s broader strategic and market innovation priorities. The IT Procurement Manager leads and manages the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of goods and services across global IT and technology categories of spend, ensuring that procurement activities align with strategic goals, deliver value for money, and support operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Acts as a procurement business partner and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
- Manages IT categories strategically and in alignment with wider business priorities (e.g. merger integration and technology de‑duplication).
- Proactively identifies opportunities for savings, process improvement, and value add, and pursues them.
- Leads sourcing projects and commercial/contractual negotiations with support from Legal as needed.
- Ensures IT category performance (pipeline, savings, risks, issues) is reported at an appropriate level.
- Builds and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with key strategic suppliers.
- Works in partnership with the supplier relationship management team to ensure a holistic approach to lifecycle management.
- Provides category insights and intelligence to drive global business value.
- Ensures procurement activities adhere to firm policies and data protection procedures.
- Deputises for the Procurement Lead (IT) as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT procurement, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Knowledge of best‑practice procurement.
- Proven track record of building relationships and influencing at a senior level.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, read situations, and make informed decisions.
- Assertive, authentic, accountable and values‑driven.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and transitional environments.
- Resilient and able to remain focused on the bigger picture in the face of setbacks.
- MCIPs qualification desirable.
