Job Title: Pre-Construction Manager
Location: London
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 per annum + Company Car + Bonus Scheme (Up to 50% of Salary)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Pre-Construction Manager to join a growing Passive Fire Protection contractor based in London. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the full pre-construction lifecycle, from initial enquiry through to project handover.
While experience in passive fire protection is advantageous, it is not essential. Candidates with a strong background in construction pre-construction, estimating, or bid management are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the pre-construction process from tender enquiry through to contract award
- Review tender documentation, specifications, and drawings to ensure full project understanding
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
- Oversee and support estimating functions, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Prepare and present high-quality tender submissions and proposals
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business
- Manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Pre-Construction, Estimating, or Bid Management role within the construction industry
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and estimating software
- Passive fire protection experience is desirable but not essential
