Role Overview
Sourcing Manager – Physical Banking Operations. In this role you will be responsible for optimising and addressing Barclays 3rd‑party spend requirements, including the definition, development and implementation of approaches for relevant spend categories with close collaboration with the business. You will execute strategic sourcing and buying channel development/optimisation for suppliers providing goods and services in the Physical Banking Operations space (cards, terminals, print, mail, couriers, cheques, cash, ATMs and property valuations).
Key Responsibilities
- Profile spend in the category area and develop understanding of business strategy, requirements, cost levers, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop requests for proposal, and ensure sourcing activities align to the bank’s needs and priorities.
- Plan and execute sourcing events including RFP/ RFXs and negotiations to meet business requirements for value, speed, compliance, and risk.
- Monitor and guide controls and compliance requirements throughout the category and sourcing cycle from request to contract, including regulatory engagement, controls, audits and data quality.
- Develop, implement and operate policies and procedures for sourcing activities aligned to the policies, standards, compliance and regulation.
- Identify and deliver change opportunities to improve effectiveness, control and efficiency of sourcing processes, including buying channel optimisation for relevant categories of spend (catalogues, demand challenge etc.).
- Identify industry trends and develop related techniques and tools by attending conferences, participating in training and conducting market research.
