Job Description:

  • Prepare, schedule, co-ordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, HSEQ policies, performance standards and specifications.
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
  • Delivery of projects within budget and agreed timescales.
  • Management of project teams.
  • Co-operate and communicate effectively with project participants providing technical support as required.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Creation of project programmes ensuring they are updated throughout the project.
  • Ensure all delays and disruption to our works are recorded and reported to management.
  • Provide technical and management support to the site based teams.
  • Obtain design information, tolerances and agree methods of working.
  • Management and compliance of Sub-Contractors and materials.
  • Maintain good relationships with the all members of the supply chain and closely monitor their performance, implementing corrective measures where necessary.
  • Oversee all aspects of site Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards and requirements.
  • Prepare Health & Safety Plans, risk assessments and method statements for site works.
  • Liaise with clients and supervising engineers as a company representative.
  • Co-ordinating meetings, setting agendas, attending meetings and recording notes.
  • Commissioning Programmes and providing information for the preparation of operation and maintenance instructions.
  • Exercise judgment related to day-to-day administration of projects.
  • Maintain the internal project documentation.
  • Assist in producing bids and tenders.
  • Assist in providing a quality and value added service to our clients.
  • Identify your own training & development requirements as well as other members of the site teams and report to the Operations Manager/Director. Proven background and experience of project engineering in mechanical/electrical building services environment.
  • Excellent customer / interpersonal skills.
  • Previous projects experience.
  • Relevant industry qualifications.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Good general computer skills, must be fully conversant with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook.
