We’re supporting a leading social housing provider seeking an experienced Interim Asbestos Manager to take the lead on asbestos compliance across a diverse housing portfolio. This role is perfect for someone who can hit the ground running, steady the ship, and drive high‑quality compliance standards.

What you’ll do

• Oversee asbestos compliance strategy, management plans and supplier performance
• Ensure full adherence to CAR 2012, HSG 264 and sector best practice
• Lead internal teams and external consultants to deliver safe, timely surveys, removals and reinspections
• Strengthen policies, processes and data accuracy within asbestos registers and compliance systems
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders and support risk assessments, audits and improvement programmes

What you’ll bring

• Strong background managing asbestos compliance within housing, local authority or similar environments
• P405 (or equivalent) strongly preferred
• Confident leader who can quickly build relationships and provide clear direction
• Ability to stabilise and uplift compliance performance in a fast‑moving operational environment
