Job Description:

We are at the heart of hospitality with over 1,600 sites across the UK, and we are seeking a Digital Data Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis. In this varied and challenging role you will support brands and the overall portfolio in achieving commercial goals, assist the Data Analytics Manager in delivering the analytics strategy, generate insights, monitor digital performance, and work closely with marketing teams to provide reporting, analytics, and data management for upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating actionable insights to support strategic decisions for customer engagement strategies and distributing them in a variety of formats.
  • Developing, maintaining, and improving customer dashboards which track performance of all digital marketing channels and programmes.
  • Presenting data and telling stories in a clear, understandable way.
  • Supporting the development of new reporting solutions and enhancing existing regular reporting.
  • Building segmentation models that inform segmentation and personalisation delivered through email and mobile platforms.
  • Developing a technical understanding of data flows and technology systems in place.
  • Ensuring compliant data processing with knowledge of GDPR and PECR.
  • Optimising campaign engagement, data selections, and monitoring existing customer segments and profiles to enhance digital strategies.
  • Conducting analysis of multi‑channel data sources to build a deeper understanding of customers and identify marketing opportunities.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop project data from various sources, measure business results, and inform programme development.
  • Maintaining day‑to‑day relationships with external agencies in partnership with the Data Analytics Manager.

Qualifications

  • Degree level or equivalent with a relevant numerical/analytical degree.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong consumer insight skills.
  • Highly numerate and keen to keep up with latest digital and data innovation trends.
  • Advanced SQL querying skills (T‑SQL) for data extraction, manipulation and modelling.
  • Data warehousing knowledge with the ability to grasp complex relational models.
  • Business intelligence and dashboard experience using Power BI (or Tableau, QlikView, Cognos BI, etc.).
  • Experience with a Customer Data Platform (CDP) and understanding of audience and activation workflows (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Python or R for automation or data analytics (desirable).
  • Experience with propensity/segmentation modelling (desirable).
  • Experience working with digital marketing (desirable).
  • Good communicator able to support complex projects with many stakeholders.
