Commercial Finance Analyst – PE Backed Software – London (3 month contract) – TWE45016

we’re supporting a private equity-backed saas business at scale, looking for an fp&a / commercial finance analyst to come in and support the commercial finance director through a busy period.

this is a hands-on role focused on forecasting, reporting, and delivering clear insight into business performance — ideal for someone who can plug in quickly and add value from day one.

The role:

• support the monthly forecasting cycle, updating for latest actuals and trading performance
• deliver short-term forecasting and scenario analysis where needed
• prepare and maintain core management reporting (p&l, kpis, performance packs)
• analyse variances vs forecast, identifying key drivers and trends
• track and report on revenue, costs, and headcount
• support commercial analysis across products, customers, and business units
• build and maintain simple financial models to support decision-making
• partner with teams across sales, marketing, and operations to provide financial insight
• respond to ad hoc analysis requests from senior stakeholders

What we’re looking for:

• strong fp&a / commercial finance experience, ideally in a saas or high-growth environment
• confident working with large data sets and translating into clear insight
• strong stakeholder skills — able to communicate with non-finance teams
• hands‑on, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment
• immediately available or short notice preferred
