Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the Dishoom calendar of events, from intimate experiences to large‑scale green‑field activations.
- Work closely with the Dishoom marketing team to execute an annual programme of events that supports the overall strategy.
- Support on‑in‑cafe and regional events alongside the wider marketing team.
- Liaise with the Dishoom operational team on events requirements – especially food and drink offering.
- Manage various aspects associated with external and team events, such as site visits, venue research, production schedules, health and safety documentation, and logistics.
- Serve as the key contact for suppliers and stakeholders in your project areas, managing relationships, sourcing quotes, negotiating contracts, ensuring advance work meets project deadlines and managing delivery onsite.
- Work within the team to prepare pitch decks and post‑event evaluations.
- Cross‑work with the wider marketing team; brief Creative on asset requirements, work with Partnerships to source talent, and collaborate with CX to build the guests digital journey.
- Prepare invoices, log payments and processing, helping all events stay on budget.
- Manage the events storage facility, including equipment inventory, ordering and distribution.
- Be “hands‑on” at events – solve problems as they arise, ensuring running orders are clear and tight, and delivering from set‑up to finish.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of events experience, ideally within food, drink or hospitality industry.
- Previous experience managing a broad range of events, including pop‑up street‑food style events, festivals, product launches and seated dinners.
- Passion for creating incredible guest experiences, with consideration for every touchpoint.
- Excellent planning and management skills – able to prioritise deadlines and work effectively to timelines.
- Experience managing budgets, invoices and quotes.
- Ability to handle several projects simultaneously and stay calm under pressure.
- Methodical, organised, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong command of English with a high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable and confident managing both internal and external stakeholders.
- Practical, level‑headed, and hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
- Excellent computer skills – especially PowerPoint, Excel and GSuite.
- Creative flair for design and event décor.
- Big‑hearted, helpful and a good collaborator.
- Knowledge of South Asian history and culture is beneficial, or a willingness to learn if you have little prior knowledge.
