Location: Telford, UK-Travel, field service roleSalary: £35,000 – £43,000 + bonus + benefits

Mercury Hampton is working with a well-established industrial engineering business to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join a small, highly skilled service team. This is a long‑term opportunity offering strong development, autonomy, and flexibility, supporting customers across a range of industrial environments.

The business is open to junior through to senior engineers, with the role and level of responsibility tailored to experience.

The Role

• Field-based servicing, maintenance and fault-finding of industrial systems
• Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis
• Working with control circuits and electrical equipment
• Breakdown support and reactive maintenance
• Customer-facing role representing the business on-site
• Working as part of a small, supportive engineering team

About You

This role would suit engineers from an electrical or multi‑skilled background.

You may have experience in:

• Field service or site‑based engineering roles
• Compressed air systems (desirable but not essential)
• Control circuits and PLC controls
• Industrial environments such as manufacturing, automotive, food & beverage, or process industries
• Junior engineers will be supported through shadowing and structured development.Senior engineers will benefit from greater autonomy and flexibility.
• F-Gas certification is desirable, or a willingness to obtain it.
