Shift Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Gas Bias)

Responsibilities

• Provide a reactive and proactive maintenance service
• Clean room maintenance
• Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines
• Ensure all mechanical and electrical equipment is running at optimum performance
• Ensure all key performance indicators are met
• Carry out modifications and installations when required
• Liaise with sub‑contractors and external suppliers
• Take ownership of tools and equipment, ensuring they are maintained to an appropriate standard
• Liaise with client/management

Qualifications

• Strong commercial background; ideally NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2/3 in Air Conditioning or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Expected to integrate into a team of engineers and maintain a flexible attitude towards work, supporting the wider business/campuses.
• The ideal candidate holds Commercial Gas tickets and has knowledge of BCGA works due to the nature of equipment on site.
• Minimum NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2/3 qualification in air conditioning, plumbing or mechanical engineering maintenance/installation.
• Clean room experience – extremely desirable.
• Ability to pass an enhanced DBS – essential.
• Previous maintenance experience in a commercial office environment.
• Flexibility towards work and willing to carry out duties that may not be specific to your trade.
• Very well presented.
• Client facing experience – desirable.
