Westminster’s housing portfolio is one of the most diverse and high profile in the country, and we’re constantly looking at how we can evolve, modernise and make better use of our homes so residents feel safer, more supported and more connected to the places they live. With more than 22,000 homes and a wide range of needs across the city, this role offers the chance to influence decisions that make a real, tangible difference.
As our Portfolio Innovation and Performance Manager, you’ll help us take a step back and look at the bigger picture. You’ll bring together resident insight, asset data and performance information to shape clear, portfolio level choices about where we invest, where we redesign or repurpose, and how we make sure our homes are fit for the future. Your work will help us strengthen safety, improve value and ensure we’re aligning our decisions with what residents tell us matters most.
A key part of the role involves driving innovation in how we deliver. You’ll work across teams to test new approaches, develop pilots, gather learning and turn good ideas into everyday practice. You’ll help define the standards, triggers and pathways that guide long term planning, and you’ll play a central part in making performance data more accessible, meaningful and action focused so colleagues can use it to improve services.
You’ll also be a visible presence within one of our borough patches, helping to build trust with residents, local groups and councillors. Whether it’s shaping early feasibility work, advising on asset decisions, or supporting teams to improve the resident experience, your input will help ensure the housing portfolio feels coherent, intentional and responsive.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys problem solving and who’s comfortable moving between detail and strategy. What matters most is that you can turn evidence into clear narratives, frame choices well, and work collaboratively across a wide range of colleagues. Curiosity, confidence and a genuine interest in improving residents’ lives will take you far in this role.
If you’re excited by the idea of helping a large, complex housing portfolio work better for the people who rely on it, and you want to be part of a team that’s ambitious about innovation and long term thinking, we’d love to hear from you.
