Business Development Manager – Renewables
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Business Development Manager to help grow a high-performing sales function in the clean energy space. You’ll be introducing solar, battery storage, and smart energy solutions to both homeowners and businesses, helping them save money, reduce carbon, and take control of their energy.
This role is perfect for someone who understands the renewables market and enjoys working with customers to find the right solution, not just push a product. You’ll be given real autonomy, solid support, and the tools to build something long-term.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Sourcing and closing new business across residential and commercial markets
- Visiting customers on-site to understand their needs and propose the best solutions
- Advising clients on smart energy tech, from battery storage and solar to optimisation tools
- Managing your own pipeline and keeping targets in sight
- Working closely with delivery teams to make sure projects run smoothly
- Building relationships with key players, developers, contractors, property owners, and more
- Representing the brand at trade events and industry meetups
- Keeping up with the latest trends, tech, and competitor offerings
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong sales experience, ideally in solar, renewables, or related sectors
- Solid understanding of battery storage systems (solar or hybrid is a bonus)
- Confident dealing with both technical and commercial conversations
- Good communicator with a consultative approach to selling
- A self-starter who takes ownership and delivers results
- Full UK driving licence and happy to travel when needed
