Overview
Security Operations Manager – FinTech – SIEM, SecOps, SOC
Oliver Bernard are currently working with a fast growing FinTech company based in Manchester, who are looking to take on a Security Operations Manager as part of plans to scale their Security practices, with a particular emphasis on driving the strategy around their SIEM solutions.
The incoming profile will need to have a strong balance of hands-on security experience (across SIEM, EDR, SOC etc) whilst being comfortable driving and shaping a security strategy, leading others from the front, and managing a small tight-knit team of 3-4 other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Drive the security strategy around SIEM solutions, with hands-on capability.
- Apply hands-on security experience across SIEM, EDR, SOC, etc., to shape and evolve security practices.
- Lead and guide a small team of 3-4 engineers, setting direction and providing mentorship.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to scale security capabilities and maturity.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years within Security / Cyber focused positions
- Prior experience in a SecOps capacity
- Capable shaping SIEM solutions (ideally with hands-on Google Chronicle experience, but Sentinel, Splunk, and equivalents will be considered)
- Strong history working across Monitoring, Alerting and Triaging
- Experience in a Management capacity, managing a team of engineers day to day, responsible for career building etc
Location & Compensation
This is a hybrid opening, with 3 office days p/week in Manchester, and can offer £70-75K for the right profile (plus benefits).
