In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in identifying and securing opportunities that drive success for publishers leveraging Playwire’s cutting-edge product suite. The ideal candidate will possess anin-depth knowledge of the publisher sales cycle, excel at communicating with key stakeholders, and confidently represent Playwire at industry-leading events.
What You’ll Do:
As our Director of Business Development, you’ll own the entire partnership lifecycle and serve as a strategic force in our growth. You will:
- Oversee and execute the complete publisher sales cycle, from prospecting to successfully closing new partnerships.
- Confidently articulate the Playwire value proposition to key decision-makers, including C-level executives, building trust and alignment.
- Attend industry events and embody the Playwire brand externally, establishing a strong presence and fostering valuable industry relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful launches and deliver results that exceed customer satisfaction, positioning partnerships for long-term success.
- Translate customer needs into actionable insights and strategies for Playwire to address effectively.
- Stay updated on Playwire’s product suite, enabling strategic business development decisions and ensuring alignment with evolving market trends.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and trends to make informed decisions that keep the company competitive.
- Collaborate with legal teams regarding contracts, ensuring the protection of the company’s interests.
- Maintain and update our CRM system with precise and current information on leads, contacts, and opportunities, ensuring data accuracy.
What You Bring:
You’re a seasoned business development professional with a strong track record of closing significant deals and building lasting relationships within ad tech.
- Ad Tech Expertise (5-8 Years):5-8 years of experience with aproven track record in building successful partnerships within the ad tech spaceis essential.
- Programmatic & Monetization Knowledge:In-depth knowledge offull-stack programmatic advertising solutionsacross desktop, mobile, and video, including OTT, and a clear understanding of how these drive publisher monetization.
- Established Industry Relationships:Demonstrated relationships within thead tech ecosystem, including direct connections with publishers, SSPs, and DSPs, facilitating effective collaboration.
- Exceptional Communication:Strong verbal, written, and formal storytelling/presentation skills, enabling effective communication with diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to C-level executives.
- Proven Revenue Driver:A consistent track record ofmeeting or exceeding aggressive revenue targets, demonstrating a results-oriented and driven approach.
- Complex Deal Negotiation:Experience in negotiating and closing7-8 figure deals, showcasing strong negotiation skills and astute business acumen.
- Travel Ready:Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
