Data Scientist – London
£70K – £80K + Bonus + Bens
City based Property Catastrophe Reinsurance firm are looking for a Data Scientist to join their team.
The vision for this role is to unlock superior underwriting by leveraging the firms existing data assets and historical performance-to deliver actionable insights and drive competitive advantage in risk selection.
You will work on a range of projects, such as building and enhancing property exposure datasets, developing analytical models and reports, and integrating advanced AI tools (including LLMs and agents) to support decision-making across the business.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience building business-ready Power BI dashboards.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets and workflows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail
We want someone who is a go-getter, who can work with autonomy and who’s driven to find value within data.
Fundamentally though you have to be a team player, have the ability to communicate effectively across the business and be easy to work with.
Base is £70K – £80K + Bonus (15%) + Bens with a tonne of potential to build upon this in the medium to long-term.
