Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Financial Services team in London. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and reports to support stakeholders
- Work with structured and unstructured data across multiple platforms
- Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks to ensure accuracy
- Translate analytical findings into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Support regulatory and financial reporting requirements within the organization
- Continuously improve data processes and analytical methodologies
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in data analysis within the Financial Services industry
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL is a MUST
- Experience working with large-scale data processing and distributed systems like Hadoop.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Solid understanding of financial data, products, and regulatory environments
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes
- Exposure to machine learning or advanced analytics techniques is a plus
