Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of trust specialists, including recruitment, performance reviews, and ongoing training.
• Oversee the daily accounting, tax, and administration of a portfolio of trust clients.
• Maintain positive client relationships through phone calls, meetings, and suggestions of additional tax services.
• Handle trust administration tasks: monitor investment performance, resolve day‑to‑day issues, and ensure timely delivery.
• Review trust tax returns, capital gains tax positions, IHT liabilities, and preparation of tax computations.
• Work with HMRC, prepare required forms, and provide ongoing tax advice to trust and estate clients.
• Analyse offshore trust accounts and prepare financial advice for clients.
• Procure payments from debtors of trusts and manage fee structures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience managing a team in a trust or senior management role.
• Close familiarity with trust, estate, and charity tax and accounting.
• Strong understanding of personal taxation and the ability to manage personal tax affairs for trust clients.
• Experience in recruiting, reviewing staff performance, and providing training.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to allocate work and meet deadlines within a UK tax framework.
