Reporting to theProcurementTeam Leader andworking alongside theProcurement Managerand FF&EDesigner, theJuniorProcurement Managerplaysa vital role in supporting theprocurement processacross multipleyachtprojects.Having a clear understanding of the project schedule and scope, the JuniorProcurement Managerhelps to ensure the projects are delivered on time, to budget and to an exceptional standard,in line with RWD’s ambition to be the most inspiring yacht designstudioin the world.Occasional domestic and international travel may be necessary to engage with suppliers and shipyards.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES ANDTASKS

  • Assist theProcurement Managerin compilingandmaintainingtheprocurement budget and ensuring all documentation adheres toestablishedstandards.Keepingthebudget up to date with currentspend,andassistin preparingmonthly reportsto stakeholders
  • Supportthe ordering process for all Owners’supplyprocurement categories,includingstandard furniture & lighting, fitted fabrics & leathers, window treatments, special finishes, carpets, tableware & linen, cushions, decorativeaccessoriesandartwork. Work with theProcurementManagerto ensureseamlessprocurement and onboardrealisationof all categories
  • Liaise with suppliers, ensuring all lead times are known, and all ordersare accurate
  • Track and manageordersthroughout thepurchasingprocess,providingtimelyupdates to theProcurement Managerand Project Manager
  • AssisttheProcurementManagerwithpreparing monthlystatementsandliaisingwith the Financeteamto ensureprompt payment processing andtimelyclient invoicing
  • WorkalongsidetheProcurementManagertoorganisestorage, consolidation, shipping, customs,deliveriesandinstallation for all Owners’ supply categories
  • Understandingthe financial set up of the Owners’SupplyProcurement, includingtax and exportconsiderations,andworking with theProcurementManagerto ensure that all compliance is met
  • Assist the FF&E Designer &Procurement Managerduringsign off visits andfinal installation
  • Aid in thepreparation of client presentations, including printing,mountingandorganisingpresentation materials
  • Assistproject team with organising and managing incoming and outgoing shipments in the studio, including international shipments, in preparation for client presentations
  • Cultivateandmaintainstrong relationships with suppliers

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Previousexperienceinpurchasingor withinFF&Eis preferred
  • Experienceinaccount managementwithinthedesignindustry,logisticsorfinancemay also berelevant
  • Strong administrative skillswith excellent attention to detailand methodical approach
  • Effectivetimemanagementabilities toprioritisetasks and meet deadlines
  • Anunderstanding of budget management and financial reporting
  • Appreciationforquality and luxury goods, withpreviousexperience in the luxury sectorbeinga plus
  • A keen interest in design and an eye for aesthetics
  • Strongwritten andverbalcommunication skills
  • ExcellentIT skills, particularly inMS Office and Excel
  • Ability to work collaborativelyand adapt quickly to changing demands
  • A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to learn
