The NMGH New Hospital Project Safety Manager will be an integral member of the Project Delivery Team responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and assuring health and safety across all the project and sub‑projects, providing construction health and safety advice during pre‑construction, construction and post‑construction stages, including site health & safety inspections and audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, coordinate and assure health and safety across all project and sub‑projects.
  • Provide construction health and safety advice during pre‑construction, construction and post‑construction stages, including site health & safety inspections and audits.
  • Ensure the Trust complies with legal obligations under the Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations 2015 and the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • Manage specialist construction‑related professional advisers, ensuring all parties comply with legal obligations and adopt best‑practice safety measures.
  • Draft, manage and review specific health and safety policies for the New Hospital Project and wider NM Programme, produce regular compliance reports and deliver general awareness training and briefings.
  • Contribute effectively to design and construction related meetings and constructively challenge solutions to embed best‑practice health and safety.
