Role Overview

As a Programme Tutor, you will contribute to delivering excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment. You’ll inspire learners, help them achieve their goals, and prepare them for success in the vibrant barbering and hairdressing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment that supports student progress, achievement and positive outcomes.
  • Plan inclusive, differentiated lessons to meet diverse learner needs, including SEND, using appropriate support strategies.
  • Monitor attendance, engagement and progress, providing clear targets, timely feedback and taking action where needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and meet quality, compliance, safeguarding and equality requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support teams, contributing to quality assurance, CPD and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Level 3 or equivalent industry qualifications in hairdressing.
  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Assessor’s Award (or willingness to train and achieve within six months).
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality learning experiences, including innovative teaching methods and effective use of digital tools.
  • Strong record of managing learner data, achieving performance targets, and inspiring students through industry-relevant content.
