Highways Project Manager – Manchester
We have an exciting opportunity for a Highways Project Manager to join our Civil Infrastructure team in Manchester. This role will give you the opportunity to support the development of a team of Civil Engineers and you will oversee all aspects of our projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of a team of Civil Engineers and oversee all aspects of projects from inception to completion.
- Advise on the delivery of a wide range of regional and national projects in the development and infrastructure sectors, from highways improvements to regeneration projects.
- Work closely with senior members of the team and the wider business to deliver key and important projects for our clients.
- Mentor, guide and inspire more junior colleagues across the Civil Engineering team.
- Collaborate with the North West leadership team to identify the future direction for the group.
- Manage the change control process and commercial aspects of projects.
Qualifications
- Experienced Project Manager with demonstrable experience of managing a variety of engineering projects.
- Focus on achieving coordinated solutions, tactical thinker and effective at communicating with internal and external parties (e.g., utility companies, drainage authorities, highway authorities).
- Expertise in the management of multi‑disciplinary projects for the entire lifecycle – from concept and planning through to detailed design and delivery.
- Experience of commercial management, managing risk and the change control process.
- NEC4 Project Management experience and accreditation is preferable.
- Proven record of delivering projects closely with clients across technical disciplines and experience of mentoring and managing the workload of junior team members.
- Passion for civil engineering and experience of delivering quality solutions to clients.
