Facades Assistant Project Manager – London
Up to £55,000 per year.
Overview
Our client is one of the leading new building envelope specialists in London offering complete design, supply, and installation of integrated facade and cladding solutions. They are looking to strengthen their Operations team with a Facades Project Manager.
Portfolio
Project portfolio includes facade and exterior works up to £10 million in value, including a number of envelope packages on large prestigious residential new builds in Central and East London.
Project Scope
Projects include traditional cladding, glass and curtain wall systems.
Responsibilities
Assist in coordinating input from each department to maximise efficiency and add value to the facade package. Be fully conversant with cost and plan activities safely. Assume direct responsibility for all activities carried out on site and implement the business management system procedures. Provide a professional approach to all aspects of the project.
Report to an experienced Project Manager and take full operational responsibility for the site, ensuring works proceed safely. Convener of contract documents, drawings interpretation, research and development of installation method statements and programmes, reporting, record keeping and project reviews.
Required Attributes and Experience
The ideal Assistant Project Manager will have 5–10 years of experience managing curtain walling installations or other relevant disciplines such as roofing, cladding, glazing, etc., with at least 5 years as a Construction Manager. Ideally HND or Degree qualified in a construction or engineering discipline, CSCS Managers card, and a relevant First Aid certificate.
Computer literate with programming and planning experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work without supervision, and initiative to fulfill the company’s commitments.
Demonstrated professionalism at all times in dealing with clients and in presentation. Ability to handle demanding people in challenging situations, absorb new knowledge quickly, motivate teams and drive projects to deliver commitments and aspirations.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is dependent on level of exposure to industry and can exceed the stated level. Bonus and additional benefits also make up the package.
