Job Description:

Michelmersh Brick Holdings are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our growing team at our Fabspeed Romsey, Hampshire plant as a General Operative.

The position is for manual handling of brick products, cutting bricks and cladding pre-fabricated chimneys. This role is physically demanding and therefore a degree of strength and fitness is required. The position is full time.

An awareness of health and safety must be demonstrated in the workplace at all times.

Previous experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment would be an advantage to the successful applicant, but not essential.
  • Previous experience using hand tools would be an advantage to the successful applicant, but not essential.
  • Any woodworking or carpentry qualification, fibreglass experience or pre-fabricated building systems experience would be an advantage to the successful applicant, but not essential.

Personal Specifications

  • A flexible approach to work, demonstrating willingness to work in various departments as projects require.
  • Well organised and punctual.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

What we offer

  • £13.20 per hour with ability to progress
  • Overtime paid at enhanced rates
  • Monthly paid production bonus in due course
  • 40 hours per week. Working hours Mon – Fri: 07:30 – 16:00
